Cymraeg/Welsh
We practice our Welsh language patterns during our daily ‘Helpwr Heddiw’ sessions. One child is picked to be the Helpwr Heddiw each day and they get to ask a series of Welsh questions or phrases already taught. We also sing a variety of welsh songs throughout the day and use the language incidentally e.g. children ask for a drink or to go to the toilet in welsh. We have weekly Welsh lessons where the children learn new language patterns through role play tasks or games. The children are beginning to learn to read and write welsh sounds and phrases.
